New Highway 102 Connector in Wellington

Drivers in Wellington and nearby communities will soon enjoy a safer, faster commute with the opening of the Aerotech Connector by our PC government.

The new five-kilometre highway links Trunk 2 to Exit 5A of Highway 102, improving access to Aerotech Industrial Park and Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Opening in early September, the route is designed to reduce congestion and improve safety.

“The new Aerotech Connector will make travel safer, better and more efficient for thousands of Nova Scotians every day,” said Fred Tilley, Minister of Public Works. “This is a significant piece of infrastructure that offers a solution that manages the challenges of growth as we address the needs of the travelling public.”

Built with safety and community in mind, the project includes a climbing lane for passing, tree-lined buffers to reduce noise, and a route designed to avoid environmentally sensitive areas.

The Aerotech Connector is one of the many investments our PC government is making to improve infrastructure and transportation across Nova Scotia.
