Investing in Our Highways

Nova Scotians will soon benefit from major highway improvements across the province as our PC government moves forward with several repaving projects this construction season:

Highway 105 (Inverness County) – Repaving about 4 km west of Exit  6 at Route 223.

Highway 104 (Antigonish County) – Repaving about 1.5 km west of the Monastery exit (Exit 37).

Highway 102 (Colchester County) – Repaving about 13 km of southbound lanes from the Millbrook interchange (Exit 13) to the Shortts Lake Road overpass.

Highway 101 (near Bridgetown) – Repaving 5 km west of Exit  21 (Rice Road), including on/off‑ramps and connector road—about 7 km total.

Highway 101 (Hants County) – Repaving the westbound lanes for 6 km, from the Ellershouse Bridge eastward.

Tenders for the projects will be issued in the coming days, with all work expected to be completed by late fall.

Investing in infrastructure is a key part of the PC government’s five-year highway plan to ensure Nova Scotians can rely on safe, well-maintained roads.
