Fadare nominated PC candidate in Clayton Park West

HALIFAX – A community leader and healthcare advocate is running in Clayton Park West for the Nova Scotia PC Party in the next provincial general election.

Adegoke Fadare won the Progressive Conservative nomination in the constituency.

“Clayton Park West is a growing, dynamic, diverse constituency that deserves a strong, effective voice in government,” said Fadare. “As someone who has personally worked to recruit healthcare professionals to Nova Scotia, I have seen first-hand how committed Premier Tim Houston and his PC Team are to fixing what previous Liberal and NDP governments have broken.  In everything I do, I work to build bridges.  That’s why I am running to be MLA, to better connect the people of Clayton Park West to the government decision making table.”

A certified project management professional and published author, Fadare is the former president of the Association of Nigerians in Nova Scotia and public relations officer for Africans in the Diaspora. Fadare has played a major role in recruiting doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants from other countries to Nova Scotia. He has supported policies to make settling in easier and personally helped over 82 newcomers and their families adjust to life in the province. In addition, his work on behalf of underrepresented communities was recognized this year in the Nova Scotia legislature.

“Adegoke Fadare is a strong, passionate voice who is dedicated to making a positive difference for the people of Clayton Park West,” said Premier Tim Houston.  “He has led by example by bringing healthcare professionals to our community and I can’t wait for Adegoke to get to work full-time for the people of Clayton Park West as their next MLA.  He will be a valued, respected member of my team in government.”

Premier Tim Houston’s PC Team has delivered record investments in health care, housing and infrastructure.  The Houston PCs are also providing tax relief, while at the same time fighting against the Liberal carbon tax.
