Marco MacLeod was first elected in a by-election for Pictou West in 2024 and was re-elected in 2024.
He is the ministerial assistant to the Minister of Energy.
Marco lives in Scotsburn on a seventh-generation family farm where he runs his own sawmill and helps manage the farm. Prior to owning his small business, Marco worked as a flight instructor. He then returned to his education and went on to become a process engineer and manager for Michelin.
He is Vice Chair of the Public Accounts Committee. He is a member of the Internal Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
