The Honourable Danielle Barkhouse was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Chester-St. Margaret’s in 2021 and re-elected in 2024.
She was first elected Speaker on September 5, 2024 and re-elected on December 10, 2024.
Prior to being an MLA, Ms. Barkhouse was a councillor for the Municipality of Chester.
She is Chair of the Assembly Matters Committee. She is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
