More Nova Scotia seniors have a safe, comfortable, and modern place to call home with the opening of Adeline Hall in Bedford.
Operated by Shannex, Adeline Hall offers 144 single resident rooms, each with a private washroom. This state-of-the-art facility gives residents the privacy, independence, and dedicated support they deserve. It is the eighth home to officially open under our PC government’s plan to improve Nova Scotia healthcare by building and updating 5,700 long-term care rooms across the province.
Modern Living and Community Care
Adeline Hall is designed to feel like a real community. Residents live in small, welcoming neighbourhoods of 16 people.
The facility features a vibrant main street area for activities, an outdoor space, an occupational therapy room, a hair salon, and a private overnight suite for visiting families. Every room was built using the latest standards for infection control and safety for both residents and staff.

Building up healthcare means ensuring our seniors receive high-quality care close to home.
More than 1,300 of the 5,700 planned single rooms are now open across Nova Scotia, with construction underway on over 2,000 more. Six additional long-term care homes are scheduled to open before March 31.
