Becky Druhan

The Honourable Becky Druhan was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General for Nova Scotia in December 2024, following her re-election to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for a second term. Minister Druhan also serves as Provincial Secretary and Minister responsible for the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism.

Ms. Druhan was first elected in 2021 as MLA for Lunenburg West, and appointed Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development at that time. 

Prior to entering politics, Ms. Druhan practiced law, first spending a decade in private practice. She later worked for several years with a non-profit home care provider to develop programs to expand access to nursing care in Nova Scotia and improve safety for workers and clients.

Ms. Druhan has served in a volunteer capacity with several boards and associations and has provided pro bono legal support to help children with disabilities gain access to vital programs and services.

She lives with her family in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

She is Chair of the Law Amendments Committee, and Chair of the Public Bills Committee. She is a member of the Internal Affairs Committee. She is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
